Breakfast with Santa...and Dora

Nikolas and I went to Brookfield Zoo on Saturday for their Breakfast with Santa. We met my friend Jennifer and her son Michael there. This was our first time and it was very nice. Fisher Price sponsored the event, so there were Planet Heros, Imaginext dinosaurs and Dora & Diego toys to play with in the lobby. They had a nice buffet, with a pancake decorating station for the kids. Besides Dora, they had Rudolf, Frosty, Mrs. Claus and a festive tiger visiting the tables while we ate to wonderful holiday music provided by a three-piece band.

Santa stopped by the banquet room to say hi on his way to meet with all the good little girls and boys. Nikolas came prepared with his list, which Santa asked him to mail to his North Pole address.

I found out from the clerks that were printing out the photos that Mrs. Claus has trouble keeping her eyes open during photos.

All the kids got a "treat" from Fisher Price. Nikolas and Michael both got a Diego ocean animal set. After he got his gift, Nik went up to Mr. & Mrs. Claus and thanked them for the present.
I was really proud of Nik, he kept telling us that he was going to be too shy to talk to Santa, but while we were waiting in line he announced, "I'm not going to be shy!" And he wasn't. Our town has a special mailbox set up for North Pole delivery, so we will be sending his list on to SC this week.
