29th layout of 2009-Christmas Tree

I got out the paint for this layout-painted the chipboard tree all by myself! The "ribbon" holding the tree is actually a thin piece of the pattern paper.

A couple of pictures

I forgot to post this picture earlier since I was sick last weekend when it was taken. Nikolas & I got Snuggies for Valentines day from Gary. The arms are too long, they have massive static-cling and they shed tons of blue fuzzies all over the house--I do not recommend them.

Here is the cake I made yesterday to take to my sister-in-laws birthday celebration today. It is a Pecan Chip Tub Cake that I made in a bundt pan. Hope it tastes as good as it looks.

26th Layout of 2009-Class Tree

I used my journaling strips to cover up the monkey's privates which were showing. :-)

6 Months until Walt Disney World...

and I'm continuing to share layouts from our first family trip in 2006. More of our time at Magic Kingdom. We had lunch at Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and his friends more for me than for Nikolas and I just had to get into that picture with Pooh.

Mickey Mouse's Country House

We had already met both Donald and Chip and Dale, but had forgot to get the chipmunks autographs when we met them at The Garden Grill. It was unseasonably warm when we went in October as shows on our sweaty faces.
Nikolas loved meeting Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. The joy and wonder on his face in some of these pictures is part of the reason I can't wait to get back to WDW.

Hands down, the Jungle Cruise was Nik favorite ride.

I scraplifted the design of this layout from a talent scrapper on Two Peas. The tree was cut and chalked by hand.

22nd Layout of 2009-My Style

I used another Coordinates Collection kit (Groovy Chick-Feb 08) for this layout. On Halloween night, my sister and brother-in-law came by to play cards. They gave Nik the vampire mouth sucker for Halloween and let him play with the hat that "Uncle Todd" wore over.

The 100th Day of School

Today was the 100th day of Kindergarten! In celebration of this special day, each child had to make a 100 day poster.

Today at school they had a special party and they did things the 100 way--with stories, crafts and fun!

The pattern paper, brads and stickers are from the October 2008 Spooks kit from Coordinates Collections.

18th Layout of 2009-Arboretum Trip

Lots of pictures on this layout and this isn't even all the ones I took on Nik's first field trip of Kindergarten. Several parents and the teachers didn't bring their camera, so I became the official photographer. I used some fall leaf pattern paper and circles punched out of cardstock to add additional jouraling.

All I Want for Valentines is My Two Front Teeth

Nik lost the first top front tooth on Jan 17. This tooth has been loose for months. Once it was super loose, he requested an apple to help finish the job. After one bite of the apple and a little nudge from his tongue, it was out.

Then tonight he lost the other front top tooth, which had also gotten very loose.
