The "Best of " series of Cricut cartridges features cuts from the most popular carts released for that year. The Best of 2006 cartridge includes cuts from Doodlecharms, Beyond Birthdays, Celebrations, Christmas Cheer, Tags, Bags Boxes and More, Walk in My Garden, and Paper Pups. I chose to use cuts only from carts I don't own seperately.
Here is my first project: a gift box made with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More with the gift from Celebrations.
The second project is a card made with the butterfly cut from Walk in My Garden.
The final project is a scrapbook page--my first completed for the year--using a Paper Pups and a cute photo of my pup.

Week 2-Art Philosophy cartridge
First I did a three dimensional project--this fry box.
Then I pulled out the stamps I have from Close to My Heart that coordinate with the cuts and made some Thank You cards for my son to finally send thank-yous for all the gifts he got for Christmas.
Finally, I used a sketch from Retro Sketches to create a card for my son's teacher to give at the end of the school year.

New Year--New Idea
So I decided not to go the resolution route this year as far as crafting goes. I will still keep track of how many cards and layouts I make. But my goal for 2014 is to "play" with my cricut cartridges more. I currently have 50 cartridges and will surely get a couple more throughout the year, so each week I will focus on one cart and make a couple of projects using it. First week: Accent Essentials
I made a card and a lunch box note. The sun, hexagons and boarder were from the cartridge.
Before Winter Break I also used this cart to make part of the sign for the Board Game Battle. I used the Fleur De Lis shape on the right shield.
