50th Layout of 2009-Grow

My sister, Mary and I went to Archivers and scrapbooked yesterday. We were there for about 4 1/2 hours and I completed 13 pages, which I will be posting over the next couple of weeks.

Here is the first, which I created using one of the April kits from Coordinates Collections. These pictures are from back in 2005. I help off scrapping them to have after pictures of the flowers, but I think a chipmunk or squirrel got the bulbs before they could grow.

More Disney Layouts

Three months until our next trip to WDW! That means I'm posting more layouts from our 2006 trip!

On our last full day at Disney World, we spent the morning at Animal Kingdom to ride the safari ride again and go to the Festival of the Lion King. Then we headed over back to Magic Kingdom. We spent a good portion of that time in Adventureland:

Luckily, Nikolas was willing to meet some princesses. Something, I'm not sure will happen this trip. He made fishy faces for the Little Mermaid.

What is it about a beautiful women that makes a man act like an animal? He showed Belle his "Fetchy" the dog persona. She rewarded him with a kiss. Aww!

This is one of my favorite picture. He had been crawling on the floor while Snow White was signing his autograph book. She was already to join him on the ground, but he insisted on a formal picture sitting on the bench. I love how he looks like such a little boy, right down to the band-aid on his knee.

Nik woke up early on the morning of our last day, not feeling very well. I sent him back to bed with the ice bucket close by after giving him some fever medicine. I guess he was a little home sick.

Hoping to Raise a Reader

This is the one of the projects Nik made at school for Moms Day. I get teary-eyed just reading it.

It says "My mom is special because she reads great books to me." I'm not sure why I have such a pointy head.

A Happy Mother's Day Weekend

This has been an awesome weekend. On Saturday I was finally able to attend one of Nikolas' tee-ball games.

I had to work Saturday afternoon, but if you have to work what is better than your boss offering to buy you something from the cafe (I chose a Toffee Mocha Chip Frap-YUM) and attending a pampering Mary Kay party after work?

Then this morning I was showered with gifts from my "boys" and got taken out to breakfast. Here is Nik and I after we got home.

Nik gave me Dance Dance Revolution Disney Grooves for Wii. He has even been helping me unlock stages and costumes.

This afternoon, Gary and I finally put up the sign I had ordered from Uppercase Living. It is in my studio.

Layouts 48 & 49-Like You & Life at Six

These two layouts are part of a All About Me challege that I am hosting at Scrapping the Magic.

This first challenges comes from the article “100 Creativity Starters” in the this May’s issue of Creating Keepsakes: #82 Find a picture of your mother at the age you are now and a current photo of you, then scrapbook them with journaling about the differences in your lives at that age.

My Life as a Mom/Dad alternate version: Find a picture of yourself at the same age your child is now and scrapbook and journal how you are alike/different and how the world has changed.

There is hidden journalling under Nik's picture.

Both of these layouts were made with supplies from Coordinate Collections kits.
