Another layout for Chewy’s book. The pattern papers are from The Pet Stack from Diecuts with a View. The letter stickers are Miss Elizabeth and the journaling tag is October Afternoon.

Layout of the Day-New Dog

Here is the intro layout for our dog’s album. The pattern paper is from The Pet Stack from Diecuts with a View. The colored papers in the journaling circle were added to cover a big boo-boo I made. I typed “Grace Anatomy” instead of “Grey’s Anatomy.” Can you tell I don’t watch the show?

Field Trip to the Firehouse

Nikolas' preschool class took a walking field trip to the fire station today. Two police officers even stop traffic so the class could cross a busy street.

Here is Nik behind the wheel of the fire engine.

Some fire gear.

I love how Nik is listening to the fireman while he sits behind the wheel of the ambulance.

Layout of the Day-Easter

I didn’t have that many good pictures from Easter morning, so I choose to combine one photo from then with a 5x7 from our church’s egg hunt to represent the holiday in Nik’s book. Sorry, I don’t know the name of the manufacture of the pattern papers. I got them from QVC. The set came with matching papers in two sizes (12 x 12 and 8x8). I found the poem online and one of my new stamps from Stampin’ Up matched the flowers on the paper.

Layout of the Day - Big Wheel

I love how the title turned out on this. Stitching the title was a ton of work, but the red thread on the black cardstock with the silver accents looks so SHARP.

Layout of the Day - March Zoo Trip

I think this must be my 12th zoo layout, but I can’t stop taking pictures when we go—there is always something new to document. And thank goodness for my subscription to Coordinates Collections. These papers and journaling tag are from the Poe kit (Oct 07).

2 Sisters Daily Card Challenge

I got so excited making my first two ATCs that I convinced my sister to join me in the madness. We have created a separate blog to post our daily contributions. You can find my 041608 card and all future cards at this blog.

Daily ATC card challenge

So, I was surfing the web on Monday looking for scrapbook inspirations when I stumbled across this talented women’s gallery of art trading cards (ATC). I was definitely inspired, so I decided to start creating daily ATCs.

I think this will be an awesome way to (1) be creative each day without worrying about perfection or using archival-safe materials and (2) document some of life’s daily joys/pains by journaling about the subjects that mattered on that particular day.

I have chosen a business card size (3.5 x 2) and hope to create a card each day or soon after. I will be posting each new creation on this blog.

Here are the first two:

One of Disney’s greatest animator, Ollie Johnson, died on Monday. I created this card in tribute. Again, I'm trying not to worry about perfection as I just noticed that I typed "credit" instead of "credits" on the card.

Tuesday’s card highlights the wonderful dolphin show we enjoyed on our trip to the zoo.

Today's Trip to the Zoo

I love being zoo members. You don’t feel guilty if you can’t spend more than a few hours there per visit. Here are some of the great stuff we saw today:

Beautiful Spring flowers
Nikolas the salamander
Waiting for the dolphin show to start (self portrait)
I can’t believe my antiquated camera actually caught this action shot!

Snack time

Check out this guy’s tongue. He really wanted to break off that twig.

Layout of the Day-Play Date

Here is another layout made with the Let’s Pretend collection from Imaginisce. I used one of my Stampin' Up circle punches to punch out parts of the pattern paper. Play date to Chuck E. Cheese with Nik’s best buddy Dylan.

My Life as a Mom

After being inspired by challenge sites like this one, I have decided to create a “My Life as a Mom” journal. This is the cover. I used a SEI 11 x 8.5 album I picked up years ago when I took one of their “scrapbook in a bag” classes at Scrapfest. The paper, tag and ribbon are from the kit. I used the Penmanship Print font, along with two other fonts and my Silhouette for the title. I already have an idea for the first page: something listing all the stuff I've gotten to learn being a Mom.

Layout of the Day -- Swim

Another layout made using cardstock and pattern paper from one of the kits I picked up from Coordinates Collections. This is from the He Said kit (Aug 07). The journaling stamp and ink is Stampin’ Up. Letter stickers are Miss Elizabeth's.

Layout of the Day - Snow Boy

This sheet of pattern paper has been in my stash for a long time—it’s by Colorbök. The letter sticker are Thickers from American Crafts.

Layout of the Day - Clay Creations

The photos are of the creations Nik and Gary made together with Crayola molding clay. The flower was a gift for me…it now graces my studio. Everything is from the Let’s Pretend collection from Imaginisce (pattern papers, letter and word sticker, except the black cardstock, gel pen and corner rounder.

Layout of the Day

Almost all the supplies used in this Christmas morning layout were from one of the December kits from Coordinates Collections. The "of" was stamped using letter stamps I got at the book store and Stampin' Up ink.

Layout of the Day

Another simple one. Pattern paper is Candy Cane Lane collection from Imaginisce, journal stamp from Stampin' Up and the letter stickers are Provo Craft. Just love the picture of Nik on the couch.

Layout of the Day

Here is another simple one. I wanted to incorporate the bag Nikolas made at school that holds all his valentines. I used elastic thread that was looped around heart-shaped brads. Since the bag is bulky, the scan came out a tad lop-sided.

A Little Bit of Son-shine

Enjoyed some sunny weather today. After we started to pick up a winter's worth of dog poop from the backyard, we went out front to have some fun.

Evidence that Nik has officially outgrown the Cozy Coupe.

Layout of the Day

Here is another layout I finished last Saturday. Pictures from Chuck E. Cheese. I found the quote on IMDB, but I don't remember what film it is from. All the paper except the title and journaling cardstock is from the Let's Pretend line by Imaginisce. The large star was hand cut from the pattern paper and the two smaller stars were punched out with a Stampin' Up punch. Title was cut with Silhouette.
