183rd Layout of 2010-Coloring Easter Eggs
I haven't posted a scrapbook layout in over a month, but that doesn't mean I haven't been working on anything. At the end of October, I was busy working on a gift album for a baby shower (layouts #172-182). Unfortunately, due to illness and getting it mailed on time for the baby shower, I didn't take any pictures of the pages.
Here is #183. I used the Funky kit from Coordinates Collections.

Operation Write Home Be My Valentine Blog Hop
Today I'm participating in Operation Write Home's Be My Valentine Blog Hop in honor of Veteran’s Day weekend! If you're not familiar with OWH, check out their website: http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/ They collect handmade cards and send them to deployed servicemen and women to use to write home! It's a wonderful service! If you're a card maker, please consider making a few cards to send to OWH! If you are not crafty, you can still make a monetary donation to cover shipping and administrative costs.
Because of processing and shipping time, OWH card makers are already working on cards for 2012. The deadline for Christmas cards was at the end of October—we have to make sure the troops get the cards in a timely manner to send them back home. Be My Valentine is the theme for this blog and it looks to be the sweetest one ever. Thanks to Archway Cookies, who is going to match cookies for cards—sending cookies to the troops with the next batch of OWH cards. The deadline to send Valentines Day cards to OWH shippers is January 7th, but to have your cards included in the 4000 card goal with Archway, cards need to be received by December 1st.
Here is one of the two cards I made for this blog hop. You can find the other at Scrapping the Magic, where I am a member of the design team. If you haven’t hopped over there yet, be sure to stop by—April is giving away some blog candy.
I made this card using stamps from The {Stamps} of Life.
Thank you for hopping by! Your next hop will be Lisa at Land of EnCRAFTment—she is a crafting queen!
She'll have a link to the next blog...........so you can keep hopping!

Mojo Monday sketch #164-Be Mine
I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch to create a Valentine for Operation Write Home.
Stamps: {Stamps} of Life, ink: Stampin' Up, rubons: Martha Stewart, pattern paper: Heidi Grace, ribbon and card stock from stash.
I am trying to make as many Valentines as possible in the next week so they can be sent in to OWH for their new challenge with Archway Cookies.

OWH Technique Tuesday: Brick Wall
Brick wall technique was featured this week on Operation Write Home's Stars and Stamps blog. Here is my attempt using the {Stamps} of Life's flower2doodle set:
Project 52: Weeks 42-45
Have to catch up with the Project 52 photos after being sick for a while.
Week 42: Nik in his Ghostbusters costume at Boo at the Zoo.
Week 43: Me in the costume I made. I didn't get to wear it to Nik's school or trunk or treat since Nik and I were both sick.
Week 44: Halloween-Nik got to go trick or treating with our neighbors, who are also two of his close friends.
Week 45: Reorganizing my stamp pads. Did you know that the Stampin' Up ink pads fit very nicely in a photo box put on its side? I got these boxes at Michaels while they were on sale this week (3 for $5).

OWH sketch 42: hugs & kisses
After over 10 days of being sick, I am starting to feel well enough to get back to some card making. Here is my card based on the new Operation Write Home sketch. Operation Write Home is one of the 3 finalists in the Joann's Craft for a Cause contest. Help this great group send homemade cards to deployed troops so they can write home to family and friends. You can vote once per day.
